About me:

I was raised in southwestern Connecticut where I played tennis as often as possible. My interest in art, drama and the humanities began at an early age when I won awards for my writing and artwork. After secondary school, I went on to Vassar and the University of Connecticut, graduating with a BFA in Dramatic Arts/Technical Design. I then earned master’s degrees in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University and in Education from the University of Bridgeport.

I love participating in the literary lives of young people and teach Language Arts in the Danbury middle schools. Directly prior to joining the Danbury community, I taught Writing at Dolan Middle School in Stamford. I also work as a part-time Children's Librarian at the Greenwich Library.

I previously worked for the Yale Libraries, at the Ludington Library in Bryn Mawr, PA, and was a Lower School librarian at the Wooster School. I have also taught in the Ridgefield (CT) and Harrison (NY) school districts.

I enjoy Nordic skiing, hiking and biking, and traveling to Cape Cod for inspiration for my poetry, paintings and photographs.

I live with my family in Ridgefield.
